The First Security Building is often noted as the most architecturally interesting building.This building was constructed in 1928 with a Renaissance Revival design. the founder of Valley National Bank, built a penthouse on top of the buidling in 1958. It has a grassy backyard with a white gazebo. ASU’s Phoenix Urban Research lab is located on the 8th floor of the building. It is on the National Register of Historic Places and the Phoenix Historic Property Register.
