It’s no secret that we’re huge fans of Sutra Midtown Yoga on 7th Street in the Coronado Historic District. In addition to being a great place to get your yoga and massage on, the owners - Matt and Rebecca Fritz - are wonderful people who truly care about their community. They’ve done an amazing job of restoring an unusual old building (which was previously a prosthetics factory that was previously a 1920s bungalow), turning it into a funky yet warm and comfortable place to focus on being healthy. Their Chop Shop Cafe is also a fantastic place to grab fresh juice or a hot beverage, and if you end up hanging out on their living room couches, plan on staying for a while.

391, Fajardo’s Cafe
6706 N 58th Dr., #Glendale,AZ 85301
Zip Hernandez sold his homeade Mexican food from this original location since 1949. Zip died of cancer in 2006 and the neighborhood lost a historic mark. In 2009 Alfredo Fajardo, son of Zip’s longtime cooks, Jesus and Beatriz Fajardo, decided to reopen the cafe using original recipes.
The building reminds me of someone’s house, complete with a yard, tucked in the middle of a residential neighborhood just minutes away from the downtown area where many visit the Glendale Glitters, Chocolate fest among other annual festive traditions.
I went to high school with Alfredo’s sister Angelica Fajardo Bowman, one of the sweetest people you will ever meet. Angelica, also an owner, and works side by side with her family at the cafe. It’s evident their customers love and respect the Fajardos and the cafe.
Next time you are near downtown #Glendale, please stop in and treat yourself to wonderful homeade Mexican food. I have a particular craving for the chorizo breakfast burrito.
Like their Facebook page, where you can see their hours of operation. http://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/Fajardos-Cafe/126952959487?sk=info

390, Ground 000
Central Avenue and Van Buren.
Phoenix, AZ.
Downtown Phoenix where Central Avenue is the dividing line among the entire valley….east to west.
Many natives remember cruising Central with their prized cars back in the 60’s and 70’s. In the 40’s and 50’s many movie starts took residence in the Westward Ho and San Carlos Hotels, which line Central Avenue to date.
I love #Cenpho.
